*Yesterday, the 8th grade boys’ basketball team started the season with a win against Esparto jr. High with a score of 63 to 19. Samrat Adhikary started the scoring drive at the start of the game with 12 points, and some of the other top scorers in the game were Ajay Lucero with 23 points, Nate Velasquez with 14 points, and Adam Lovato had 6 points. Tyler Sibley, and Oscar Cooper-Stern were key to our win with a number of assists. On the defensive side some of our standout players were Michael Gray, David Ruiz, Keenan McCabe, Trevor Reiff, and Dante Soltero. The boys’ season record is 1 win, and 0 losses. Our next game is today at Emerson Jr. High. Great Job!

 

 

 

*Douglass Middle School Wrestlers pinned their way to victory over the Lee Wildcats with a score of 57-12! 

Aiden Olsen, Keoni Chaidez, Joshua Hunter, Curtis Balmain and Donny Gomez all securing pins!.

Logan Bartagliotti, Aaron Sahota, Mason Rowe and Matthew Rowe all won by forfeit.  

Eli Huth won 10-4 while Kai Chaidez and Mason Thomas lost hard fought close matches. Kai losing in overtime and Mason losing by a last second takedown. Brandon Nolan wrestled well but lost to a pin.

Douglass had an excellent showing of exhibition matches as well with Caleb Hunter, Aaron Sahota, Adrian Ramos and Matthew Rowe all having wins. Braxton Hunt lost by pin, and Mason Rowe lost a close match to Caleb Hunter.
